METAL SLUG 2 App Reviews

I bought Metal Slug 1 just to see how it played on my Ipad 2. It played and looked great. I bought Metal Slug 2 (this one) and Metal Slug 3 and Metal Slug X. All were really well done. Im so impressed with all of them. Ive had no issues at all.

I have to admit I never really played metal slug as a kid so it was new to me but these games are REALLY fun! I got all of them and have been playing them since. I noticed they seem to keep playable value a well as I have played them many times over

I love it I always wanted to get it and its so awesome get it but the credits should be unlimited.

This game is a must have if your a Metal slug fan. Its optimized perfectly for the iPhone 5 and I spend countless hours playing this! Definitly recommend this!

This game is a darn near PERFECT port. But first let me talk about the Uneducated Whiners that almost discouraged me from buying this game. Know what your talking about! This game LOOKS perfect for an INTENTIONALLY pixelated nostalgic purpose game port... It is supposed to look pixelated you dummies! Nobody want this to look iOS graphics-ish...if they made a Metal Slug part 9 then its ok if the graphics were updated as it is a totally new game. Second...the controls are PERFECT....stop comparing it to an actual Joypad....this is a touch screen with VIRTUAL controls...and they do a pretty good Job.....want more realistic? Get the Logitech Joystick for iPad.....its a suction cup joypad that works great....in some cases you can use two of them, one for control and the other for fire buttons if the buttons are aranged in a North South East West way and resized like in King Of The Fighters 97 for iOS. This game has ALOT of EXCELLENT Video display options to make it look like you were really playing on a 720x480 or perhaps 352x240 monitor.....which is EXACTLY what this game was running on and IS supposed to look like! So the graphics DO NOT need updating dummies! ThIs isnt supposed to look like Rayman...as a matter of fact, I would be quite upset if it didnt have the scanlines and Video blur options....as a game that was made to run on an old CRT streched to fit a 1024x768 iPad screen WOULD indeed look like crap. Back to my game review...its GREAT! My Hardware (iPad 2 64gb WiFi + 3G Verizon with iOS 6.1.3) everyone should always list your specs when reviewing the game so the company knows how to better respond. My recommendations to SNK 1. Change the main menu of all your iOS games to look like the original Neo Geo ones....the currently High resolution menus give High hopes to people to expect the game to look like the Menus, and the sudden shock from super clear Retina gfx in the menu to sudden Pixelized good ole CRT graphics can be confusing. 2. Add more options to the scanlines and Video blur for Retina Display owning iOS users.....ad the ability for the scanlines to be Double Thick so that it again looks like a CRT...currently the scanlines are real tiny and compressed making the Retina version looking different and hardly as noticeable as non Retina Display iOS devices. 3. Add options to resize and make more visible or more transparent to the controls....such as in King Of The Fighters....do this to all your games all across the board as well as add iCade support if not already implemented and the supposed new iOS7 joypad to be released. 4. It wouldnt hurt to put the Neo Geo logo when the game starts instead of that SNK Playmore which seems degrading. That Playmore should be placed somewhere else and less conspicous...not that the name is bad or anything...but Logo recognition is extremely important. To everyone who has the same specs iPad as I...get this! Especially if you LOVE 16 bit console games with CRT scanlines. Best games I have bought for iPad so far: King Of The Fighters 97 and Metal Slug 2.

This was a great port and can be very fun to play for anyone who played this game before but the controls ruin this game. They need to do something about the sensitivity because there has been many times where Ive fallen to my death because the game doesnt sense that I am pressing jump.

That Independence Day reference at the end, oh my gawd, still pretty funny

The jump button works when it feels like it and the directional control is horrible. The game looks great and is a direct port of the original but it is unplayable on the iPhone. Very disappointed.

Can you guys please put metal slug touch back on the App Store I played it on a freinds device and loved it but learned it was taken down! Pleeease put it back

I dont know what happened to the controls, but they got really bad with the new update. You basically cant shoot up at all.

The original art and game is amazing however the controls are terrible please fix this SNK

This game is AMAZING! I love the sprite animation, the gameplay, even the difficulty for Pete sake! So many people whine about the controls, (Theyre only bad on the IPhone version, IPad controls are perfectly fine.) but they are perfectly fine for me! I cant get enough of these games and the others! Please make Metal Slug 4-7 for the IPad! I cant get enough of em!

Bought for playing with my gf. However, the Bluetooth connection is really lagging... Cant play multiplayer mode... Is it an iPhone 6 plus problem or what?

I started to realize that the black ground music is not as fast as it used to be. It really bothers me because it doesnt match the sound effects in a way for me to really feel the action. Hopefully this gets fixed.

I would love this game if the characters movement was a lot better. Every time ur finger goes off the small little control ur character stops moving. PLEASE ADD CONTROLS FOR THE MOVEMENT THAT GO BEYOND THE CIRCLE MOVEMENT! The game is so frustrating because of that reason. Have the movement be something like it is in Lego Star Wars. You can place ur finger where ever on the left side of the screen and you can move your character.

My name is jeff and I think its a great game but needs update because when I try to play multiplayer I cant connect to another player

I downloaded both metal slug x and 2 but both games have the same problem...the app shuts down during the first mission/level...i dont know if its only me but..plz fix this

The controls are absolutely terrible in this game and the multiplayer does not work! Youve been warned.
